Emergency Water Cartage for Public-Sector Response

Water outages and civil emergencies require clear communication, reliable source control and coordinated transport. We provide a single operational contact who can work with incident controllers, council staff, network maintenance teams and principal contractors.

🏛

Councils & CDEM

Emergency tanker supply for affected communities, public facilities, welfare sites and local response operations.

🔧

Water Contractors

Temporary water support during main breaks, shutdowns, repairs, commissioning and network restoration.

🏥

Critical Facilities

Contingency water planning for healthcare, aged care, schools, community facilities and essential operations.

🌧

Natural Hazards

Coordinated water logistics following storms, flooding, drought, contamination events and infrastructure failure.

Response Situations We Can Support

Our role can range from one urgent tanker load to a coordinated multi-vehicle programme. Scope is agreed with the controlling organisation and adapted as incident information changes.

🚰

Network Outages

Temporary bulk water delivery while burst mains, pump failures, treatment issues or planned shutdowns are investigated and repaired.

🏘

Community Supply

Water delivered to approved tanks, distribution points or facilities identified by the response lead.

🧪

Supply Contamination

Alternative drinking-water transport when an existing source or network cannot be used, subject to the authority’s response plan.

🔥

Drought & Fire Conditions

Additional tanker capacity during prolonged dry periods, supply shortages and elevated community demand.

🏗

Infrastructure Restoration

Water for flushing, filling, testing, commissioning and maintaining temporary operations during repairs.

📦

Temporary Storage Support

Planned filling and replenishment of approved temporary tanks positioned for community or operational use.

Operational Capability & Scalable Logistics

Our own fleet provides a strong northern response base. For larger incidents, we can coordinate approved subcontract capacity and logistics through one point of contact, subject to availability and the requirements of the lead agency.

Fleet and people

  • Purpose-built bulk water tankers
  • Truck-only and higher-volume combinations
  • Experienced tanker drivers
  • Site Safe cards and commercial-site experience
  • Vehicles allocated around access and road conditions

Response coordination

  • Single operational contact
  • Source, loading and delivery planning
  • Driver sequencing and shift coordination
  • Communication with council or contractor contacts
  • Subcontractor coordination for larger responses

Drinking-Water Control, Traceability & Documentation

Emergency delivery still requires disciplined water-source selection, hygienic transport and accurate records. Our drinking-water operations use registered sources and food-grade stainless-steel tankers.

💧

Controlled Water Sources

Drinking water is collected from registered supplies selected for the response location and operational plan.

🚛

Dedicated Potable Tankers

Food-grade stainless-steel tankers used for drinking water are kept separate from unsuitable non-potable products.

📄

Delivery Records

Electronic job records support traceability of source, loading, delivery location, volume, timing, carrier and driver information.

Important: The responsible authority controls the public-health response, distribution arrangements, receiving assets and end-use instructions. Our role is to transport and deliver water in accordance with the agreed incident plan and applicable carrier requirements.

How Emergency Water Activation Works

For the fastest assessment, provide concise operational information when calling. Details can be refined as the incident develops.

Call the Response Contact

Phone 027 544 4006 and identify the lead organisation, caller and incident priority.

Define the Requirement

Provide the location, water type, initial volume, receiving point and first required delivery time.

Confirm the Plan

We assess sources, tanker access, fleet capacity, driver availability and delivery sequencing.

Mobilise & Report

Approved deliveries begin with ongoing communication, records and replanning as demand changes.

Emergency response experience

Cyclone Gabrielle Water-Supply Coordination

Director Aaron played an active role in water-supply response during Cyclone Gabrielle, coordinating with agencies, local authorities, emergency services and contractors to help move clean water where it was required.

That experience reinforced the value of establishing contacts, loading options, access expectations and commercial arrangements before an emergency. Pre-event planning allows activation decisions to be made faster when staff are already managing multiple priorities.

Pre-Incident Planning for Councils and Water Contractors

The best time to establish an emergency water supplier is before a network failure or severe-weather event. We can discuss a practical response framework without claiming fleet that has not been confirmed for a specific incident.

Planning information to share

  • Priority communities, facilities and receiving tanks
  • Likely daily water demand and minimum service levels
  • Approved loading points and backup water sources
  • Site access, hose connections and traffic controls
  • Incident contacts, escalation paths and purchase-order process
  • Required reporting, health and safety and induction documents

What we can prepare

  • Primary and secondary contact details
  • Indicative tanker configurations and capacities
  • Driver and fleet mobilisation assumptions
  • Source-to-delivery route planning
  • Subcontract coordination approach for surge demand
  • Commercial rates or agreed emergency-pricing method

Service Coverage

Our strongest direct fleet coverage is across Auckland, Rodney and Northland. Wider response coordination may be possible through trusted tanker operators when planned and approved by the lead organisation.

Emergency Water Supply FAQs

Information for councils, Civil Defence teams, network operators and water contractors assessing emergency tanker support.

Who can activate an emergency water delivery?
We can work with authorised representatives of councils, Civil Defence and Emergency Management groups, water utilities, principal contractors, infrastructure operators and critical facilities. The caller should identify the lead organisation and purchasing authority.
Do you provide emergency drinking water?
Yes. We transport drinking water from registered sources using food-grade stainless-steel tankers. The receiving authority remains responsible for the incident response, receiving system, distribution controls and public instructions.
How quickly can tankers respond?
Timing depends on incident location, road conditions, source access, tanker and driver availability, required volume and existing commitments. Calling early with accurate information allows the fastest realistic assessment; no response time is guaranteed until confirmed.
Can you support a large-scale or multi-day response?
Potentially, yes. Our own fleet can be supplemented through coordinated approved subcontract capacity. Large responses require an agreed logistics plan covering sources, loading queues, driver hours, routes, receiving sites, reporting and commercial authority.
What information is needed during activation?
Please provide the incident location, lead organisation, site contact, water type, initial and daily volume, first required delivery time, receiving tank or connection, vehicle access, hose requirements and purchase-order or authorisation details.
Can you support burst mains and planned network shutdowns?
Yes. We work with council water contractors and infrastructure teams on temporary supply, flushing, filling, testing, commissioning and restoration work. Planned events should be booked early so tanker capacity and water sources can be reserved.
What delivery documentation is available?
Electronic job and delivery records can capture source, loading and delivery timing, delivery location, volume, carrier and driver details. Additional project reporting should be agreed before mobilisation.
Can we set up rates and contacts before an emergency?
Yes, and we recommend doing so. A pre-incident discussion can establish contacts, expected scope, pricing method, purchase-order requirements, key sites and likely response assumptions.
Which regions do you cover?
Our primary direct fleet coverage is Auckland, Rodney and Northland. Broader New Zealand coordination may be considered for suitable incidents through approved subcontract arrangements, but must be assessed case by case.
